As the culture intrudes

The problem is that we’re a bit like fish, we’ve never lived in anything but water, and we have never lived in anything but this culture, by which we are surrounded that constantly intrudes upon us. And I don’t know any answer to your question other than that we need to take our bearings afresh, indeed every day, on the reality of God, of his truth, what he says about us, what he says about the world, how we should be evaluating it, seeing ourselves in the light of the truth. There isn’t a technique which will help, but this is the process of becoming a godly person and becoming a godly person means beginning to live by principles and truths that God has revealed to us.
